O mankind! Worship your lord,Who has created you and those before you so that you may ward off (evil). Who hath appointed the earth a resting-place for you, and the sky a canopy; and causeth water to pour down from the sky,there by producing fruits as food for you. And do not set up rivals to Allah when ye know (better).

Most surely in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day there are signs for men who understand. those who remember Allah standing and sitting and lying on their sides and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth:Our lord! Thou hast not created this in vain! Glory be to thee; save us then from the chastisement of the fire.

Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth! How could He have a son when He has no consort and He (Himself) created everything, and He is the knower of all things. that is Allah, your Lord, there is no god but He; the Creator of all things, therefore serve Him, and He has charge of all things. Vision comprehends Him not, and He comprehends (all) vision; and He is the knower of subtleties, the Aware.

He it is Who made the sun a shining Brightness and the moon a light, and ordained for it mansions that you might know the computation of years and the reckoning. Allah did not create it but with truth; He makes the signs manifest for a people who have knowledge.

He it is Who shows you the lightning causing fear and hope and (who) brings up the heavy clouds. And the thunder declares His glory with His praise, and the angels too for awe of Him; and he sends the thunderbolts and smites with them whom He pleases, yet they dispute concerning Allah, and He is mighty in prowess.

There comes forth from within it a deverage of many colours, in which there is healing for men; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect.

Or like utter darkness in the deep sea. there covers it a wave above which is another wave, above which is a cloud, (layers of) utter darkness one above another; when he holds out his hand, he is almost unable to see it; and to whomsoever Allah does not give light, he has no light.

Do you not see that Allah is He Whom do glorify all those who are in the heavens and the earth, and the (very) birds with expanded wings? He knows the prayer of each one and its glorification, and Allah is Aware of what they do.

Do you not see that Allah drives along the clouds, then gathers them together, then piles them up, so that you see the rain coming forth from their midst? And He sends down of the clouds that are (like) mountains wherein is hail, afflicting therewith whom He pleases and turning it away from whom He pleases; the flash of its lightning almost takes away the sight.

And the sun runs on to a term appointed for it: that is the ardinance of the Mighty, the knowing.And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch. neither is it allowable to the sun that it should avertake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; and all float on in an orbit.
